Chapter History

over 30 years and still going strong

LDASJ is the Saint John Chapter of The Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick.

Founded in 1979 by professionals and parents, the Saint John Chapter volunteers continue to work to make our community more aware of learning disabilities and to increase services.

LDASJ volunteers were pleased to have been the catalyst of LDANB’s successful hosting of the National LDAC Conference - Anchor on Success/Ancré sur le succès - held in Saint John in October 1997.

We have developed in 2003 / 2004 a pamphlet for parents "Working Your Way Through Learning Disabilities" with the help of the Greater Saint John Community Foundation.

LDASJ volunteers were honoured to have been the 2005 beneficiary of The Greater Saint John Community Foundation gift in honour of Community Service Award recipient, Thomas L. McGloan, Q.C
